Although the course structure varies between universities(in terms of the level of "integration"), there is still a clear demarcation between pre-clinical and clinical years.

what is medical school in the UK like?

College Student

During the first 2-3 years of study, you will be exposed to the basic scientific principles that underpin medicine. This content may be delivered in a variety of ways-lectures, seminars, group work, tutorials and they may be supplemented by practicing very basic clinical skills early clinical exposure(although to a lesser extent).

pre-clinical years

Doctor's Appointment

The last 3 years of medical school are aimed at practical implementation of the knowledge you have learnt, in wards or at GPs. It would resemble a job more than the life of a typical university student. You'll likely be at hospital from 9-5 with teaching by the staff there and some lectures back at your university. It is a fiercely independent time-you're meant to make the most of your time on the job-engaging with patients, interacting with the staff, making your own differentials etc.
